Bettendorf offensive lineman Mark Kallenberger has committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Kallenberger announced his decision on Twitter this morning after a visit to Iowa's spring practice.

"I am very excited to announce that I will be furthering my education and football career at the University of Iowa!" read Kallenberger's tweet.

A three-star prospect, Kallenberger chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Iowa State, Nebraska, Kansas State, Missouri, Western Michigan, Colorado State, and Eastern Michigan.

"The stability at Iowa and knowing the coaches are not going to leave was huge for me," Kallenberger told HawkeyeReport.com. "Also, Coach Doyle and his strength program is the best thing for me to develop me into a great offensive lineman."

Kallenberger is the seventh commitment for the Iowa coaching staff in the Class of 2017, joining A.J. Epenesa, Juan Harris, Coy Kirkpatrick, Tristan Wirfs, Jacob Coons, and Djimon Colbert.
